Interested in joining the Shady Oaks Garden Club?
Our purpose is to stimulate interest and creative activity in the art of gardening and floral design; to enhance the beauty of our community and to contribute to civic improvement; and to work for the conservation of native plants and wildlife.
We are a working club, involved in all kinds of garden-related activities. We are involved in several hands-on community garden projects. We provide floral arrangements for those in need every Friday through our Flowers of Hope program. We teach our members flower arranging, conservation, horticulture, and trends in landscape design. Every other year we sponsor a Garden Tour of local gardens and on alternating years we stage a standard flower show.
Our meetings are held monthly at various locations around Johnson City, TN. Light refreshments and a short meeting are followed by an interesting program, all within about two hours. We invite you to join us for a meeting. If you have questions or would like to attend a meeting, please contact any club member or contact us here to send a message to our membership chair. To see our upcoming monthly program, please visit our programs page.
Come share the fun, excitement and beauty of gardening with us.
